Latest book EXPLORE: A LIFE OF ADVENTURE

First Women exhibition moves onto Liverpool

The groundbreaking First Women exhibition moves on to its next location at St Georges Hall, Liverpool where it will be open from 19th June to 27th August 2019.  The photographic exhibition is the result of over ten years of work by photographer Anita Corbin, who wanted to photograph 100 women in the UK who were first in their particular fields of endeavour.  They include Moira Cameron who made history in 2007 as the first woman to become a Yeoman Warder in HM Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London. One of 35 ‘Beefeaters’ and the first time since 1485 that a woman has held this role.

Our own Sue Stockdale, first woman in the UK to ski to the Magnetic North Pole in 1996, is also featured in the exhibition along with Suzi Quatro who is the first woman to front and play bass in a Glam Rock band and many other inspiring women from many different walks of life.
